The Development Fund is a fund available for local YSD Branches or SDP Student Societies across Great Britain. Through this funding the YSD can support branches and societies financially in their early stages, helping to get you and your local member's activities off the group.
You might want to start hosting events at university to raise awareness of your Society but lack the funds for refreshments.
Or you might want to start a local campaign for YSD members to get involved in but don't have the money or resources to print the leaflets and posters necessary.
We're willing to step in and help you start these activities, so you don't have to cover all the costs yourself.
The funding is available to all accredited branches and societies through application. (Not sure what this means? Get accredited here) As we expand, funding will be subject to competitive bids - so make sure you put foward a strong case!
For now though, we want to get as many university societies off the ground as possible. So, if you're just starting an accredited university society, feel free to apply!
